FSU IPRD Diagnostic Laboratory Earns Accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP)

The laboratory joins more than 8,000 CAP-accredited facilities worldwide recognized for excellence in laboratory medicine. This achievement reflects the laboratory’s commitment to rigorous standards, reliable diagnostic testing, and high-quality patient care.

“I am extremely pleased with achieving CAP accreditation at our FSU IPRD Diagnostic Laboratory. This achievement confirms our commitment to the highest tier of diagnostic accuracy. We owe a great deal of thanks to Quest Diagnostics for their partnership and our consultants Illumina,” emphasized Cynthia Vied, Ph.D., Associate Director for Genomics at IPRD.

“CAP accreditation is an important milestone for IPRD and reflects our commitment to building a world-class diagnostic infrastructure at FSU and expand access to advanced genomic testing for children and families across Florida” shared Pradeep Bhide, Ph.D., Director of the Florida Institute for Pediatric Rare Diseases.
