Dr. Ledbetter is a nationally recognized genetics expert who has spent his career helping families understand the causes of childhood developmental conditions including autism. He specializes in using advanced genomic testing to diagnose rare disorders and guide personalized care. Before joining FSU, he led one of the largest clinical genomics programs in the country. At IPRD, he is building new resources for families across North Florida and leading a statewide newborn genomics initiative to support early diagnosis and treatment for babies
Dr. Nora Pepper is the Medical Director of FSUHealth Precision Pediatrics at IPRD. She works closely with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to helping children with rare and undiagnosed conditions. Dr. Pepper works to bring the latest advances in genomic medicine into patient care, helping families find answers and develop personalized treatment plans. A graduate of the Florida State University College of Medicine (class of 2010), Dr. Pepper has worked in both primary care and pediatric hospital medicine. She combines clinical expertise with a commitment to innovation in children's healthcare. Her work supports the IPRD's mission to improve diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes for children and families facing complex medical challenges.

Dr. Lauren Harper is a pediatric clinical neuropsychologist and licensed psychologist in Florida. As a clinical neuropsychologist she holds advanced training in how complex medical and neurological conditions affect brain development, as well as cognitive and behavioral functioning in children and adolescents. Dr. Harper has focused clinical training in concussion and traumatic brain injury (TBI), as well as spina bifida and neurofibromatosis. Dr. Harper works closely with patient families, schools, and medical teams to understand each child’s unique strengths and challenges, provide comprehensive evaluations, and offer practical, individualized recommendations to support recovery, learning, and everyday functioning. Her care is family-centered, evidence-based, and tailored to help each child thrive at home, in school, and in the community.

Dr. Shah is a genetic counselor who helps families understand genetic testing, rare disease diagnoses, and what results mean for their child’s health. She also leads operations for Florida’s genomic newborn screening pilot program, working with hospitals and partners across the state to support early detection of rare conditions. Dr. Shah brings expertise in patient education, research coordination, and family centered communication, and provides genetic counseling services in the Precision Pediatrics Clinic.
Ms. Liebrich supports clinical and research programs that help bring new diagnostic tools and treatments to children with rare diseases. With over fifteen years’ experience in nursing, clinical research, and healthcare administration she ensures studies are safe, well organized, and family centered. Her passion for helping families access high quality research opportunities and supporting the clinic’s mission to improve pediatric care.
Ms. Alsina supports scientific and bioinformatics research that advances the understanding of rare pediatric conditions. She brings experience in laboratory methods, genetic testing workflows, and data analysis, along with multilingual communication skills. At IPRD, she contributes to research projects that help translate genetic discoveries into meaningful improvements in care for children and families.
